ZOOM GDL lets ArchiCAD users easily and intuitively create any object, from the simplest to the most complex, and is directly accessible within ArchiCAD.
All objects are parametric and automatically integrated in ArchiCAD via ZOOM GDL's new file formats (.esm and .gsm). ZOOM GDL's simple, ergonomic and user-friendly interface is identical to that of ArchiCAD and makes ZOOM GDL an exceptional modeling software that's both fast to learn and easy to use.
Visualization is an indispensable component of 3D modeling and it takes on its full dimension in ZOOM GDL. Viewing angles and multiple light sources are just some of the parameters available to you to enhance objects and 3D scenes.
If you are new to 3D modeling, ZOOM GDL will help you start on the right track. If you are an ArchiCAD user, you will quickly notice how efficiently ZOOM GDL maximizes the power and intelligence of your software.
No matter your level of experience, all your creations ?? from the simplest and most traditional to the most elaborate and fantastic ?? are now of superior quality and precision with ZOOM GDL.

If you are already familiar with ArchiCAD's interface, then ZOOM GDL is a breeze
to learn because it uses a similar interface, the same intelligent cursor, the
same drawing tools, the same selection modes, and the same snapping constraints
as ArchiCAD.
Everything has been laid out so that you can begin designing in 3D quickly and easily.
ZOOM GDL also includes 4 interactive editable windows, specific 3D snapping constraints (center of facets, divisions, distance) and other original features such as calculating volumes, aligning 3D entities, and contextual menus.
Once in ArchiCAD, you can parameterize ZOOM GDL objects that are part of the ArchiCAD Library through the standard Object Settings dialog box. By using different layer combinations, you can determine the parameters and various representations of objects in your ArchiCAD project, just as you would with any GDL object.
GDL objects saved with a preview are automatically integrated into the ArchiCAD Library and can be parameterized at any time (dimensions, materials, pens, line types, etc).

Until now, creating more complex and sophisticated GDL objects involved GDL
script requiring programming knowledge. Today ZOOM GDL is the simple and
efficient graphic solution to this. On top of the standard 3D modeling tools,
such as basic geometric elements, extrusion, revolution, piping and mesh, ZOOM
GDL features powerful modeling tools such as tapered piping, Boolean operations,
ruled surfaces as well as Coons and Gordon surfaces. ZOOM GDL also offers a set
of modification tools to help you reposition and remodel your objects by editing
their points, lines, or facets, either numerically or interactively in the four
working windows. Other more professional tools, such as bump and extrusions with
rounded corners, are also available. If you are a GDL expert, you can revise or
add new parameters to the 2D and 3D scripts, and save your files in different
formats (.gsm, .lmp, .win, .dor).
